ROCHESTER -- A memorial service for Muriel D. Swett will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Park Towers in Rochester. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn, Mass.
Mrs. Swett, 100, of Park Towers in Rochester, died Saturday (July 26, 2003) at Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island following a brief illness.
Muriel D. Dorr was born Sept. 2, 1902, in Winthrop, Mass. On May 31, 1928, she married Lewis A.W. Swett in Sommerville, Mass. Mr. Swett was a fire insurance inspector, and Mrs. Swett was a homemaker. From 1950 to 1988, she lived in Kingston, Pa. Before 1950, she lived in Philadelphia. Mrs. Swett was a member of the Christian Science Society and a past member of Rochester Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Virginia (Robert) Biedlingmaier of Rochester; a son, Stewart (Peggy) of Broomall, Pa.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Her husband and one sister preceded her in death.
Memorials are suggested to Rochester Senior Citizen Dining Program or Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island.
