At last, we have the long overdue opportunity to grow the University of Minnesota Rochester.
Vital to the economy of Rochester and southeast Minnesota is the continued strong support of higher education, research and development by our legislators and governor.
Nelson has been a clear, consistent voice who has long advocated for the expansion of higher education in our community.
We must ensure that the negative attitude and actions of our chief opponent of UMR growth, Rep. Pelowski, do not adversely impact our plans.
I support Carla Nelson. She is our best hope to continue the growth of UMR and its partnerships with the health care and technology leaders of Rochester.
