New office building opens in Valley High Business Center

A second office building opened up Wednesday in the high-tech office complex off Valleyhigh Drive Northwest near West Circle Drive in Rochester.

The new building, called Phase II, joins the Valley High Business Center. The original building at 3535 40th Ave. N.W. opened in the fall of 2000. Both are owned by New Era Development of the Twin Cities.

Phase II is a 44,000 square foot, two-story building. It is home to LSI Logic/Mint Technology and Johnson Controls, Inc. LSI and Mint lease about 20,000 square feet. LSI also has an option for another 5,000 square feet.

LSI Logic/Mint Technology are electronic chip design firms. Johnson Controls Inc. of Minneapolis distributes environmental and energy control systems,

The building was completed in March 2002 and was constructed by Ryan Companies.


Lakeview Technology, which makes specialized software to work with IBM servers, has offices in the original building.
