New stoplights on the way

Plans to install stop lights near the CineMagic Theaters in northwest Rochester moved ahead Wednesday.

City council members voted to get bids to install lights at the intersection of West Circle Drive and 19th Street Northwest. Bids can be submitted beginning Oct. 3.

An agreement signed this year by the city and Olmsted County says each entity will pay for half of the project's total costs. The city will front the funds needed for the project and the county will reimburse the city.
