Plans for a new real-life locked room mystery facility are developing on Second Street Southwest.
A new operation, Med City Escape, has filed plans with the city to transform a former office space into Rochester's latest entry in the trendy Escape Room phenomenon.
The Room Escape concept is that a group of 4 to 10 people are briefed on "a mission" by a game master and then are locked in a room for an hour to figure out how to complete the mission and escape.
Med City Escape is preparing to revamp space in a complex at 1907 Second St. SW, at the corner of Second Street and 19th Avenue South, near Tyrol Ski & Sports. The new operation is led by Bryce Carlson and Phillip Bates.
Once Med City Escape launches its new place, it will be the third player to tap into the action movie-style entertainment in Rochester.
