Austin Noon Kiwanis gave a $1,000 scholarship Wednesday to Austin High School senior Hahn Nguyen.
Each year the Noon Kiwanis gives the scholarship to a high school senior.
Hahn and one of her teachers, Kathy Sforza, attended the Kiwanis Club meeting Wednesday, where she was presented with the scholarship.
Hahn arrived in the United States with her family in 2005 and enrolled at Austin High. She has an outstanding academic record and graduated with distinction, according to the news release.

She plans to attend Rochester Community and Technical College to pursue a career as a pharmacist.
