Last meeting: The two met in the same section championship game last year with Lanesboro winning 30-13 at Grand Meadow. Tyler Speer ran for 164 yards to help Lanesboro win last year’s title game. The Burros also beat the Superlarks during the regular season this year by a 33-14 margin in Lanesboro.
Trends to note: Grand Meadow will be appearing in its fourth section title game in the last five years, but hasn’t made it to state since 1997. The roles are reversed between the two teams this season. Last year, Lanesboro was the third seed and traveled to top-seeded Grand Meadow.
