Water polo
Water polo is a fast-paced game similar to soccer, but played in water. Rochester Area Family Y is offering classes for ages 11-14 and 13 and older. Those wishing to enroll must be able to swim 200 yards continuously and tread water for 5 minutes. The class focuses on learning the rules, ball-handling, shooting and game strategy. About half the time will be for scrimmaging. Registration was Tuesday, so call the Y for more information about getting in.
Sessions: June 11 to Aug. 7. Class fee: $75 for Y members, $100 for non-members.
