Northwestern Singers put on the ritz

The Northwestern Singers of Austin will have their first practice of the 2003-2004 season at 7 p.m. Monday at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Austin. Adults who love to sing and wish to join are asked to attend. The theme for this year's winter show will be "Puttin' On The Ritz."

The Northwestern Singers is a nonprofit, adult community chorus that has provided Austin-area vocalists with the opportunity to sing a variety of choral music for more than 50 years. The group has two major shows a year and also sponsors a silent auction and concert in November to help raise money for Austin youth music programs. The group is under the direction of Les Mahla.
