OAK CENTER -- Radoslav Lorkovic, one of the most popular performers each year at the Oak Center General Store, returns to the stage for a concert at 8 p.m. March 2.
Lorkovic, who has developed an international reputation as a jazz and blues pianist since debuting at Oak Center a decade ago, will perform as a solo artist this time. Over the years, he also has appeared at the General Store over the years as an accompanist for a variety of artists, from Greg Brown to Claudia Schmidt.
A native of Zagreb, in what was then Yugoslavia, Lorkovic was trained as a classical musician, but eventually discovered the blues. He also has picked up the accordion to add a Cajun and Tex-Mex flavor to his music.
Among Lorkovic's five albums are two recorded in castles in Italy.
