Irene Lynard — Blooming Prairie
BLOOMING PRAIRIE — The Mass of Christian Burial for Irene Lynard will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Columbanus Catholic Church in Blooming Prairie, with the Rev. Richard Dernek officiating. Interment will be in St. Columbanus Cemetery.
Mrs. Lynard, 100, a longtime Blooming Prairie resident, died Saturday (April 5, 2008) at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie.
Lola Irene Ramsey was born June 26, 1907, in Kansas. As a child, she moved to Blooming Prairie with her family and graduated from Blooming Prairie High School. She married Joseph Lynard on Aug. 14, 1929, at St. Columbanus Catholic Church. Mrs. Lynard worked at Harriet’s Dres-Wel for 20 years. She was a member of St. Columbanus Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilynn Fiebiger of Blooming Prairie; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Wilma Anderson of Elk River, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home, and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church. There will be a Ladies Rosary service at 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family prefers memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice.
