ADAMS — The funeral for David A. Wiste will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams, with the Rev. James Seitz officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Wiste, 80, of Adams, died Wednesday (April 16, 2008) at Adams Health Care Center.
He was born March 7, 1928, in Austin. He married Kathleen Lewison at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams. He was a farmer and also worked at Hormel Foods Corp. for 32 years. A big sports fan, Mr. Wiste loved watching his grandkids play sports. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Sandra (Jon) Shaw of Dexter, Susan (John) Sathre and Jane (Marvin) Juenger, both of Adams; a son, David (Ellen) of Adams; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Harold (Alice). He was preceded in death by an infant son, John; an infant great-granddaughter, Faith; and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Adams Funeral Home, with a Prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue an hour before the service Saturday at the church.
Memorials are preferred to Sacred Heart School or a charity of the donor’s choice.
