WABASHA -- The memorial Mass for Odelia M. Klapperich was at 11 a.m. today in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams, with the Rev. James Seitz officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Mrs. Klapperich, 92, of Wabasha, formerly of the Adams area, died Saturday (Dec. 17, 2005) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Odelia Ulwelling was born Sept. 3, 1913, in Nevada Township, Mower County, near Adams. She grew up in Johnsburg and attended school there. She married Herman Klapperich on Oct. 16,1946, at St. John's Catholic Church in Johnsburg. She was a homemaker, and her husband worked in Adams as a blacksmith; he died Oct. 18, 1998. She was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and taking care of her yard.
Survivors include two sons, Steven and Mark (Chris), both of Hayden, Colo.; a daughter, Sheila (Thomas) Micka of Anoka; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Reinhartz of Austin. A sister and a brother preceded her in death.
The Abbott Funeral Home of Wabasha is in charge of arrangements.
