Felony charges
• James Levi Jeter, 28, Byron, charged with first- and second-degree controlled substance crime on April 19. Unconditional bail is set at $50,000, conditional bail at $15,000. He returns to court May 13.
• Jason Jerome Laske, 37, 911 Homestead Village Lane S.E., Rochester, charged with fourth-degree assault on a police officer, gross misdemeanor obstructing the legal process, both on April 22. Unconditional bail is set at $3,000, conditional bail at $1,000. He returns to court May 6.
• Aaron Jared Schrupp, 20, 107 Seventh St. N.W., Rochester, charged with fifth-degree controlled substance crime, misdemeanor driving after suspension, misdemeanor no proof of insurance when driving and misdemeanor drug possession, all on April 23. He has been released on his own recognizance and returns to court May 1.
• Christopher Lee Talamantes, 30, no address, charged with 10 counts of violation of no-contact orders in January and February. Unconditional bail is set at $40,000, conditional bail at $20,000. He returns to court May 8.

Felony dismissal
• Felony first-degree burglary charges have been dismissed against Jesse Jon Higgins, 30, 4553 Fifth St. N.W.. The prosecution also dismissed a misdemeanor charge of fifth-degree assault and a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree damage to property, all allegedly occurring on June 13, 2007. The charges were dismissed April 16, 2008.

No. A, Rochester, sentenced April 11, 2008, to pay $807, serve five days jail with credit for five days served.
• Gross misdemeanor driving while impaired with 0.08 blood-alcohol concentration within two hours of driving — Anthony John Thoma, 33, Austin, sentenced April 11, 2008, to pay $600, 30 days in a combination of jail and home detention.
• Driving while impaired with 0.08 blood-alcohol concentration within two hours of driving — Jared Robert Morsch, 24, Monticello, Minn., sentenced April 14, 2008, to pay $607.
• Driving after revocation — Kao Seng, 50, 2118 56th St. N.W., Rochester, sentenced April 14, 2008, to pay $132, serve three days jail with credit for three days served.
• Driving while impaired with 0.08 blood-alcohol concentration within two hours of driving — Kyle Jordan Truex, 18, 4124 Sylvan Court S.E., Rochester, sentenced April 14, 2008, to pay $607.
