Rochester police were called to a shooting at Essex Park Apartments on 937 41st St. NW at 7:30 p.m. Friday night.
Rochester Police Lt. James Evenson said police believe that the victim, a man about 50 years old, was shot in the leg after having an argument with the suspect, who's believed to be the victim's 18-year-old son.
The victim was taken by Mayo Clinic ambulance to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys.
The suspect at this time is still at large, but Evenson said he believes there is no threat to the greater public.
