---------------------------------------------------------- From staff reports
The city of Oronoco will begin surveying its residents today to gauge future community planning and housing needs.
Home Town Pride Inc., a firm retained to conduct the survey, began distributing flyers today and plans to pick them up next weekend. The results, city officials say, will be confidential in accordance with the Minnesota Data Privacy Law. Survey results will be tabulated by SEH, the city's engineering firm, and will be reported back to the City Council. Individual survey documents won't be viewed by or made available to city officials.

Joy Bertsinger, mayor of Oronoco, said the survey will look into the housing, water and sewer needs of the city from the perspective of residents. Their concerns will help determine how the city will use state grants it hopes to receive.
For more information about the survey, call Ron Seymour, community development manager for SEH Inc., at 529-7213.
