PEPIN, Wis. -- Ron Palillo, who played Horshack on "Welcome Back, Kotter," returns to the Lake Pepin Players theater to star in "Guys and Dolls," which opens Saturday and runs through July 26.
Palillo has been appearing in plays at Pepin periodically since 1997, when he starred in "Anything Goes." He returned in 1998 in "The Fourposter" and in 2000 in "The Nerd," "Blithe Spirit" and "Arsenic and Old Lace."
He teaches at the University of Connecticut and acts and directs in regional theatre companies throughout the country. Palillo has also published two children's books.
"Guys and Dolls" is considered one of the great musicals of Broadway's golden era. Palillo is Nathan Detroit, a gangster who runs a craps game. Songs include "Luck Be a Lady" and "Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat."
Shows are at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $20 and $15 and can be reserved by calling (715) 442-3109.
