Pam Allan of Rochester, a Rochester Civic Theatre volunteer for more than a decade, received the Joe Saidy Award last Saturday.
The award, initiated in 1963, is named for a former Rochester businessman who provided volunteer support to the theater during its first decade.
Allan has volunteered in various capacities backstage at RCT including working on the crew, props, sound, lights, costumes, house and has served as an assistant stage manager and stage manager.
She was cited for her commitment to the theater in many ways and especially for volunteering for the hard assignments and handling them with professionalism. Allan has played a key part in all the big shows at the theater, including "Kiss Me Kate," "Damn Yankees," "Jesus Christ, Superstar" and "Secret Garden."
