Post-Bulletin staff
An interactive series of seminars for parents of children ages zero to five begins next month.
Titled "Parenting Counts," the series is jointly sponsored by First Steps, an initiative of the Rochester Area Foundation; the Working Family Resource Center, PAIIR, and Workforce 2020, an initiative of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce.
All of the sessions in the series run from noon to 1 p.m. at the Chamber office, 220 S. Broadway, Suite 100.
Sessions include:

• May 7: Testing 1, 2, 3 — how to set behavioral limits for young children.
• May 14: Handling Everyday Stress and Rough Days — How to soothe and calm young children, and teach them stress-coping skills.
• May 21: Promoting Emotional Development — Learn to coach children through various emotions and teach problem solving skills.
• May 28: Tantrums Happen — Learn tips to handle these tough situations.
Sessions cost $10 each — which includes lunch — or $30 for all four.
