Peace vigil will honor Iraq war dead

LANESBORO -- A peace vigil with more than 2,000 candles to commemorate the U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq, as well as the thousands of civilians who have died, will begin at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday between the walking bridge and the Fillmore County Road 8 bridge in Lanesboro.

An independent group of community leaders is planning this remembrance.
