Pearl L. Hubbard -- Wabasha

WABASHA -- A funeral Mass for Pearl L. Hubbard will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha, with the Rev. Richard Engels officiating. Burial will be in St. Felix Cemetery.

Mrs. Hubbard, 92, of Wabasha, a homemaker and former nurses' aide, died of natural causes Tuesday morning (July 15, 2003) at her home.

Pearl L. Coleman was born July 8, 1911, in Durand, Wis. She married Lloyd Hubbard Oct. 18, 1932, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Durand. Her husband was a journeyman lineman for Northern States Power. He died Feb. 16, 1972. Mrs. Hubbard was a nurses' aide at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Wabasha for 30 years. She was a member of St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha and the Council of Catholic Women and enjoyed playing bingo. She had lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Wabasha the past six years.

Survivors include five daughters, Darlene Hubbard of Durand, Donelda (Harvey) Langseth of Minneiska, Karen (David) Harney of Rochester, Lucinda (William) Marking of Wabasha and Galen Hartung of Cottage Grove, Wis.; two sons, John (Agatha) and Joseph (Darlene), both of Wabasha; 29 grandchildren; and 60 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a granddaughter, a great-grandson and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha and an hour before the service Friday at the church. There will be a Council of Catholic Women rosary service at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
