PLAINVIEW — The Plainview-Elgin-Millville School Board will meet at 5 p.m. today to discuss a personnel matter involving one of its elementary school principals.
The meeting, a portion of which will be closed, concerns Ross Mattke, principal at the school in Elgin for students in fourth through sixth grades. Mattke has been on paid administrative leave since the district began investigating a complaint against him earlier this month.
A board retreat that had been scheduled to start after the meeting is canceled. Schools in the district were closed today.
