AUSTIN -- The funeral for Phyllis Mae House will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin, with the Rev. Roberta Flood officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
Mrs. House, 69, of Austin, a homemaker and retired dietary supervisor, died Monday morning (April 8, 2002) at her home following a lengthy illness.
Phyllis Mae Anderson was born July 19, 1932, in Austin. On Aug. 19, 1950, she married Francis House at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker, a retired Burr Oak Manor dietary supervisor and a Wendy's manager. Mrs. House was a lifetime member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and was secretary of bowling leagues for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Stephen (Cecelia) of New Brighton, Minn., and Michael (Mary) of Rochester; a daughter, Cynthia (Paul) Meany of Austin; six grandchildren; a brother, Delmer (Mary) Anderson of Austin; and a sister, LaVonne (Richard) Zrucky of Byron. She was preceded in death by a sister and a stepbrother.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and an hour before the service Thursday at the church.
