RED WING -- A Pine Island man faces two counts of first-degree driving while impaired after being stopped for erratic driving.
Terry Lee Andrews, 45, was charged May 31 in Goodhue District Court. The complaint alleges he was stopped May 27 in Pine Island after hitting his brakes to slow from 40 mph to 30 mph and later was seen driving on the shoulder.
When a deputy stopped Andrews, the complaint says, his speech was slurred, he smelled of alcohol and had poor balance.
