JORDAN — Pine Island was eliminated Saturday from the Third District, Division II Legion baseball tournament, by the same team that eliminated Zumbrota-Mazeppa on Friday.
Saturday, LeSueur-Henderson blanked P.I. 7-0; Friday, LS-H drubbed Z-M 11-1.
Pine Island’s only hits were singles by Mike Lerum and Brandon Arndt. P.I. had a threat in the sixth inning but left the bases loaded.
Pine Island, which had defeated LS-H 7-6 in the opening round last weekend, finishes 11-12 on the season.

The rest of the tournament had some excitement. T.J. Oakes threw a perfect game for Jordan (12 strikeouts, 87 pitches) in a 5-0 win over Sibley East in the winners bracket finals.
Sibley then beat Le Sueur-Henderson to earn a second shot at Jordan — the five-time defending district champion and four-time defending state champion — in the championship round.
Sibley East beat Jordan 6-5 on a walkoff homer to force a deciding game.
Jordan won that one 3-1 to win the title and advance to the state meet beginning Friday in LeSueur.
