Pine Island got its offense going Tuesday night in a Third District American Legion baseball playoff game.
PI beat Zumbrota-Mazeppa 17-2 and is set to play the winner of Goodhue vs. Cannon Falls in a 6:30 p.m. game tonight.
Brad Olcott and Evan Schacht each went 3-for-3 against Z-M. Two of Olcott's hits were triples and he had two RBIs. Schacht had three RBIs and a double. Adding hits were Mike Regnier with a double and an RBI and Brad Swanson, with a double and two RBIs.
Ryan Olson was the winning pitcher.
Neil Wells had a double and knocked in one Z-M run. Nate Sturm had two hits and the other RBI.
