Plainview school board candidates advance

PLAINVIEW -- Voters in the Plainview school district selected three finalists in Tuesday's school board primary.

Eight candidates sought the seat on the school board. The top three vote-getters in the primary advance to the general election in November.

Carol Cravath received the most votes with 299, followed by Lynn Zabel with 222 and Sue Tangen with 186. They will appear on the ballot in November.

Other candidates to receive votes: Leonard Rollins, 176; Patricia Iverson, 175; Peter Halva, 159; Melanie Deyo, 105; and Tony McGee, 104.
