Police investigate deaths of husband, wife

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. -- A husband and wife were shot to death Thursday evening in this west-central Minnesota town of about 8,800, local authorities said.

Law-enforcement officers answered an apparent domestic call about 6:45 p.m. Thursday. The woman, Mary Johnson, 42, said her husband, Scott Johnson, 43, was threatening her with a gun.

The Douglas County SWAT team was called out. When officers entered the home just after 9 p.m., they found the couple's bodies.
