Postal service offers holiday mailing tips

The U.S. Postal Service has a variety of services to make it easy to send holiday packages and cards.

Packages up to 70 pounds sent by Priority Mail service should be shipped by Dec. 21 to arrive anywhere in the country by Dec. 25.

Global Priority Mail service is also available to ship packages weighing up to 4 pounds to one of 51 countries. Those packages should be shipped by Dec. 15 to arrive by Dec. 25.

The Web site can also be used to order shipping supplies, access the Click-N-Ship service, add insurance and signature confirmation service, request a carrier pickup, and design and mail holiday cards.
