RED WING — A pair of drivers suffered minor injuries Wednesday when their cars collided on U.S. Highway 61 near Red Wing.
Victoria Lea McCrory, 23, of Bemidji was driving a 2002 Chevy Malibu south on Highway 61 at about 7:21 a.m. Wednesday when her vehicle collided with a 2019 Ford Escape driven by Becky Jo Sletten, 63, of Red Wing, who was driving north on Highway 61 near the intersection of Golf Links Drive, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report. There was snow and ice on the road.
Sletten received non-life threatening injuries but was not transported for medical care, according to the state patrol report. McCrory was transported to Mayo Clinic Heath-Red Wing with non-life threatening injuries. Updates were not available on the condition of either driver.
The Red Wing Fire Department, Red Wing Ambulance, Red Wing Police Department and Goodhue County Sheriff's Office also responded to the scene.
