ORONOCO — A Rochester man was hurt when his vehicle was rear-ended as part of a chain reaction on U.S. Highway 52 near Oronoco.
Robert Ernest McIntosh, 47, of Rochester, was southbound on Highway 52 at about 5:22 p.m. Sunday when he stopped his 2014 Ford Fusion due to traffic congestion caused by road construction at about 100th Street. A 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Theresa Adelia Feist, 60, of Pelican Rapids, stopped behind the Ford, but a 2006 Volvo S40 driven by Serena Marie Malecha, 19, of Northfield, rear-ended the Jeep, which then struck the Ford from behind, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.
Neither Malecha nor Fiest, nor Fiest's passenger, Bryan Lee Feist, 60, of Pelican Rapids, were injured in the collisions. However, McIntosh was transported via Mayo Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys with non-life threatening injuries. No update on his condition was available.
The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office also responded to the scene.
