FILLMORE COUNTY — Two narcotics search warrants executed in Fillmore County on Wednesday resulted in the seizure of suspected marijuana plants, according to the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office.

Members of the sheriff’s office executed two separate narcotics search warrants Wednesday in Canton and Preston, according to a Facebook post from Sheriff John DeGeorge.

At an unspecified location on Hudson Street in Canton, law enforcement reportedly found suspected marijuana plants, a scale and evidence of a marijuana grow, according to the Facebook post. The Southeast Minnesota Violent Crime Enforcement Team assisted with the execution of that warrant.

At an unspecified location on Pleasant Street in Preston, authorities allegedly found suspected marijuana and evidence of a marijuana grow. The Preston Police Department assisted with the execution of that warrant.

Both cases remain under investigation and charges are pending, according to the sheriff’s office.

A request for more information about the cases went unreturned on Friday.
