WINONA — A Winona man was injured Saturday when he took a turn too tight.

Jeremiah Richard Jackson, 39, of Winona, was southbound on U.S. Highway 61 at 10:51 a.m. Saturday when he began a left-hand turn into the Fleet Farm parking lot. However, the 2004 Honda Civic Jackson was driving entered the northbound lanes and was struck by a 2016 Jeep Cherokee driven by Elizabeth Ann King, 69, of Sparta, Wis., according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.

King was not transported for medical care. Jackson was transported to Winona Health with non-life threatening injuries. No update on his condition was available Monday morning. 

The Winona Police Department also responded to the scene.
