STEWARTVILLE — A Stewartville woman was robbed while unloading her groceries Thursday.

Sgt. Jim Schueller, of the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, said the female victim, age 22, reported she’d arrived at her home in the 900 block of John Wesley Drive at about 4:13 p.m. Thursday and was unloading the groceries from the trunk of her car when an adult male, about 6 feet tall, came up from behind her, pushed her down and took her grocery bags.

The suspect then fled down the street to a waiting white Honda Civic and got in the passenger side of the car before the vehicle fled the scene, Schueller said.

The victim sustained scrapes to her knees and lost the contents of the bags — some clothing and groceries — worth about $70.
