STEWARTVILLE — A Rochester man was arrested early Saturday after he allegedly repeatedly punched and kicked a woman in the face.
Olmsted County Sheriff’s deputies were called at 12:45 a.m. Saturday to a residence in the 200 block of North Main Street in Stewartville, Capt. Scott Behrns said.
A 21-year-old woman reported to deputies that during an argument after drinking, 27-year-old Dylan Davidson assaulted her, Behrns said. The woman had visible injuries on both sides of her face, from her jawline to her hairline.
On Monday morning, Behrns said Davidson may face charges of felony second-degree assault and two misdemeanor counts of domestic assault. Court records indicate that Davidson was charged with two misdemeanor domestic assault charges.
Davidson allegedly grabbed the woman by her hair and held it as he punched in her in the face multiple times and hit her in the face with his phone. Davidson also kicked the woman in the face after she had fallen, Behrns said.
The woman was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys for her injuries. Davidson was located near the North Main Street residence passed out in a yard, Behrns said.
Davidson reportedly told deputies the woman was the aggressor in the situation.
