EYOTA — A St. Charles woman was hurt Sunday when the truck she was driving was struck by another vehicle.

Brooke Mackenzie Burt, 19, of St. Charles, was driving a 2004 Ford F-250 pickup west on U.S. Highway 14 in Eyota when she slowed and began to turn left onto southbound Center Avenue. As she turned, her truck was struck by a 1999 Chevy Lumina, also westbound, driven by Guy Eric Hansen, 51, of St. Charles.

Neither Hansen nor his passenger, Michael L. Hansen, 15, of St. Charles, required transportation for medical care. Nor did Burt’s passenger, Kyle Robert Langeslag, 30, of Wykoff. Burt was transported via Eyota Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys with non-life threatening injuries. According to posts on her social media, she was released later Sunday.

The Eyota Fire Department also responded to the scene.
