BECKER — Rushford-Peterson senior Jared Agrimson was the top area player at the Class A state golf meet Wednesday at Pebble Creek Golf Club.

Agrimson carded a 78, which left him in a tie for fifth place overall. Faribault Bethlehem Academy’s Grant Wayland was in first place at 73.

Hayfield’s Adam Ruhter was in 21st place after firing an 81, while Rushford-Peterson’s Justin Simon shot an 84 and is tied for 35th place overall.

Derek Resler is representing Blooming Prairie at state. He shot an 87 and is tied for 46th. Lanesboro’s Brett Hungerholt carded an 88 and is tied for 49th.


In Class A girls action, Lewiston-Altura is in sixth place overall at 447. Mounds Park Academy leads with a team score of 367.

Kaitlyn Hennessy was the top player for Lewiston-Altura, carding a 102. Hennessy is tied for 21st place.

Other L-A players were Kayley Borkowski (106, t-34th), Alissa Moe (117, t-64th), Aimee Cichon (122, t-69th), Brianna Kinstler (126, t-77th) and Shelby Siemek (139, 85th).

Other area individuals included Fillmore Central’s Tricia Harstad (106, t-34th), Lanesboro’s Robin Sautter (107, t-38th), Kenyon-Wanamingo’s Katie Froyum (108, t-42nd), Wabasha-Kellogg’s Courtney Heins (113, t-54th) and Fillmore Central’s Kaila Erickson (114, t-56th).

The Class A state meet was to conclude today.
