The Rochester Community and Technical College women’s basketball team finished in second place in the Border Battle Classic tournament Saturday at Madison Area Technical College.
The Yellowjackets lost 83-53 to Joliet, Ill., which is ranked third nationally in the NJCAA.
"They were very athletic. They came right at us and we just weren’t ready for it," said RCTC coach Steve Hucke.
Brittany Gladis scored 13 points and had nine rebounds to pace the Jackets. Jessica O’Leary scored nine points and added five rebounds, while Trisha Peterson chipped in with seven points and five rebounds.
RCTC plays Western Wisconsin Technical College in LaCrosse tonight
