RCTC stays perfect with win over Mid-State

Rochester Community and Technical College is off to a sizzling start in men’s basketball, knocking off Mid-State (Wisconsin Rapids) Community College 86-75 at Regional Sports Center on Tuesday night.

The win gives the Yellowjackets a perfect start to its season, now 4-0. All of those wins have come against teams with winning records.

RCTC was led by forward Matt Ganglehoff, with 20 points and seven rebounds. Sean Clarke had 14 points, eight assists and six steals; Darrin Loewenhagen had 19 points; Adam Huntley had 13 points in a reserve role; and Rochester Rogers had 15 rebounds.

"We got up and down the floor well and for the most part moved the basketball well and got open looks," RCTC coach Brian LaPlante said.

RCTC was hot from the perimeter, hitting 7 of 16 three-point attempts.

The Yellowjackets play host to North Iowa Area Community College at 8 p.m. next Wednesday.
