The Rochester Community and Technical College softball team swept a doubleheader from Ridgewater Thursday in Willmar. The Yellowjackets won the first game 9-4, and rallied for a 12-10 victory in the second.
In the nightcap, RCTC scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to overcome a 10-8 deficit. Angie Meierotto went 4-for-5, while Kjerstin Bock and Melissa Haack were each 3-for-5. For the twin bill, Haack was 6-for-9 with five RBIs. She was also the winning pitcher in the second game.
Jess Ekern went the distance for the pitching win in game one, and she contributed two hits and two RBIs at the plate. Kate Peterson added a single and triple, and Bock had two singles.
