Rochester Community and Technical College took a pair of games from Minnesota West on Wednesday, winning 1-0 and 8-3 in Minnesota Community College Conference softball.
RCTC pitcher Sammi Rossi got the win in both games. She went the distance in the first, and the first four innings of the nightcap. Britni Mensink finished up Game 2.
Andria Rogers had a hit and the team’s only RBI in the first game. Rossi struck out nine.
In the second game, Mensink was 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Rogers had three hits and scored three times.

RCTC rallied with three insurance runs in the sixth inning. The Yellowjackets scored in every inning but the fifth.
"We tell the players we need to win every inning and that equals winning the ballgame, and we did that," RCTC coach Shelley Boettcher said.
RCTC is 8-6 in the MCCC and 14-10 overall. It plays at St. Cloud Tech on Saturday and is now ranked No. 7 in the NJCAA.
