ADAMS — The Southland boys basketball team wrapped up the regular season with a 59-56 loss to the Kingsland Knights.
The Southland Rebels fell behind by nine points at halftime, but they were able to narrow the gap in the second half. Chris May led the way for the Rebels with a game-high 19 points.
Alan May also scored in double figures for the Rebels, but it wasn’t enough to stave off defeat in the regular season finale. The Rebels finished with a 2-18 record in Three Rivers Conference play.
Southland (6-19 overall) is seeded seventh in the upcoming Class AA, Section Two, East Subsection and travels to second-seeded Byron next Tuesday night.
