MANKATO, Minn. -- Wide; receiver Derrick Alexander practiced with the team Monday for the first time since straining his quadriceps.
The ninth-year player, who was expected to challenge D'Wayne Bates for the No. 2 spot, worked with the first team on three-reciever sets. He made a couple of nice catches, including one deep throw.
"Looked good," said Tice, who earlier in training camp had criticized Alexander in his slow recovery from the injury. "I think he's anxious to get back and be a part of this."
Alexander, whose production and health lagged while playing for Kansas City last season, said he felt no pain Monday.
