The American Legion Family asks all citizens to remember our nation’s veterans those soldiers who fought and are still fighting for our country’s freedoms — on Veteran’s Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11.
Plan to attend a veteran’s memorial service at 11 a.m., at the Veteran’s Memorial at Soldiers Field. (The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.) Please visit and thank veterans who are hospitalized, in our nursing homes or homebound. Ask your parents, grandparents and great-grandparents about their memories and what freedom means to them. Thank them and let them know how much you appreciate their contribution to keep our country safe and free.
