LEWISTON -- The funeral for the Rev. Einar Eugene Smith will be Thursday in the chapel of St. Peter's Lutheran College in Brisbane, Australia.
Rev. Smith, 59, of Brisbane, formerly of Zumbrota and Lewiston, died Thursday (Sept. 4, 2003) at Wesley Hospital in Brisbane following an illness of several months.
He served as associate pastor of United Redeemer Lutheran Church in Zumbrota from 1976 to 1979, and as pastor of St. Paul's UCC/ELCA in Lewiston from 1986 to 1987. At the time of his death he was on the staff of St. Peter's Lutheran College in Brisbane.
