Post-Bulletin staff

The National Humane Society is offering a $2,500 reward for anyone with information about the death of a basset hound that was shot outside its Rochester home on Monday.

Kayla Jensen and Jason Horsman adopted the 5-year-old dog named Amara JoAnn about two years ago.

The couple heard the gunshots about 6:15 p.m. and found the dog on the ground outside their townhome in the 3000 block of 25th Street Northwest.
