Rita Klug -- Caledonia

CALEDONIA -- A funeral Mass for Rita Klug will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Caledonia, with the Revs. Thomas Jennings and Joseph McGinnis co-officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Caledonia.

Mrs. Klug, 78, of Caledonia, died Saturday (July 27, 2002) at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis.

Rita McGinnis was born May 6, 1924, in Caledonia and graduated from Loretto High School in Caledonia in 1942. She married Paul William Klug Sept. 22, 1945, at Alameda Naval Air Station, Calif. He died Aug. 19, 1969. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling and whistling.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Susie) of Rosemount, Minn., and Bill (Sue) of La Crosse; three daughters, Jane (Ivan) Fernandez of Salem, Ore., Bonnie (Terrance) Twite of Dodge Center and Barbara (Jeff) Klug of Minneapolis; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five brothers, the Rev. Joseph McGinnis of Wabasha, John (Virgie) McGinnis of Fargo, N.D., Al (Maureen) McGinnis of Winona, Bob (Shirley) McGinnis of Austin and Bill (Darlene) McGinnis of San Jose, Calif; and two sisters, Mary McGinnis of Caledonia and Sister Martha Ann McGinnis of Rochester. A brother preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Holy Family Hall of St. Mary's School in Caledonia and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church. There will be a Scripture service at 7:30 p.m. today at the school.

McCormick Funeral Home in Caledonia is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
