Riverland Community College students Calder Pfeifer and Anna Sturtz were among six students from various colleges awarded the title of "Outstanding Performer" at the Minnesota Community College Fine Arts Festival March 27 and 28.
A solo clinic was held in conjunction with the festival, in which students from various colleges each prepared and presented a song that was critiqued by a judge. The six students who finished with the highest ratings, including Pfeifer of Austin and Sturtz of Albert Lea, were awarded the title. The performers then presented their songs to all festival participants.
Robert Johnson of Blooming Prairie was chosen as a soloist for the massed choir performance.
The Riverland College Choir was featured in a showcase performance on March 27.
