WORTHINGTON — The Riverland softball team swept a doubleheader from Minnesota West on Tuesday.
The first game was a close affair with the visiting Lady Blue Devils of Riverland pulling out a 13-11 win.

The second game was a laugher as Riverland had 27 walks and won 24-4 in five innings.
In Game 1, Tracee Crowley paced Riverland, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Nicole Harmer went 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
Amanda McGuire had two runs scored and two RBIs, and Jill Radke added a hit and three RBIs.
Kelly Schelin picked up the pitching victory for Riverland.
In Game 2, Riverland had just three hits, but the Lad Devils were walked 27 times.
Holly Waltz led the walks parade; she walked five times and scored four runs.
In the two-game set, Waltz walked eight times and scored six runs.
Also in Game 2, Radke had three walks and two runs scored. Schelin walked four times, had a double, five RBIs and two runs scored.

Crowley had the other two Riverland hits, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs.
Schelin also got the pitching win in Game 2, throwing three scoreless innings, while striking out two and walking two. She allowed two hits.
Riverland improved to 7-7 overall.
