Robber leaves store after being refused drugs

Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery of the pharmacy at Hunt’s Drug and Gift on Wednesday morning.

Police Capt. Brian Winters said officers were dispatched to the pharmacy shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Store employees said a woman went to the pharmacy department of the Silver Lake store and demanded drugs. When she was refused, they said, she pulled out a handgun and renewed her demand. Again, she was refused. Winters said she then left the store.
